[Article] 170218 Rap Monster addressed about Glass Ceiling

Before I begin, I am not ARMY and I'm from another fandom. Right now I'm on my laptop so if you want I can provide proof later

I'm BBC. Glass ceiling became an issue and honestly, at first I was kind of confused but I saw many excessively malicious comments. I felt bad for ARMYs and BTS who get judged for every single thing they do so I'm posting this for the people who slandered them to read. He must have felt cautious to talk about this but he made it clear. He's cool.

+ proof) I'm at the reading room so I'm not at home yet. I will provide proof before morning so please don't question and pull innocent people into this~

Rap Monster began by saying, "I knew about the problems of glass ceiling wording. I have read articles and posts regarding this subject. I think such problem was raised because many showed concerns to our story. We are grateful."

He then revealed that he knows the definite meaning behind "glass ceiling". Rap Monster said, ""Glass Ceiling" is the invisible and unbreakable wall, isn't it? It's the term that was used to represent an invisible barrier that prevents the promotion of women in their industry. I know that this term is now used to members of minorities in today's society.", he emphasized, "I want to say that it's not true that we misused the meaning of "glass ceiling".".

After explaining the "glass ceiling" term, Rap Monster explained, ""Not Today" begins with the story of "us". We're aware of the criticisms like "Can BTS use the expression "glass ceiling" when they're a successful boy group?" but the reason why we used such term was to state that we will also not stay silent about the social and unreasonable matters.".

He continued, "We think "Not Today" can sound aggressive because of its lyrics and melody. We believe we can improve by accepting criticisms and by thinking. We will humbly accept the criticisms and judgments made by many people and we will improve.".

These haters slander them ruthlessly after interpreting the meaning the way they like it and when someone brings an explanation post, they keep pressuring the OP to show prove s/he's from another fandom ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ this isn't just for BTS, whenever any idols suffers from accusations these trolls think they're being logical and arguing with facts and it's hilarious ㅋㅋㅋ I thought if this was really an issue since the meaning depends on how we interpret but it's indeed nice to hear a clear statement from the creators.. +397 -7
