[Article] 170307 BTS J Hope, "Our greeting during debut days used to be too formal"

BTS talked about their signature greeting slogan.

On the 7th broadcast of TV Chosun "Idol Party", J Hope explained about BTS's signature greeting.

The red carpet was prepared by the "Idol Party" studio to celebrate BTS's appearance. The MCs warmly welcomed the current hottest group BTS who set new records wherever they go.

After standing in their places, BTS opened the show with their signature greeting with their gun gestures. However, MC Kim Junho who didn't know the meaning behind their greeting asked "What is that supposed to mean?" and Rap Monster replied, "It's a gun" and showed him the hand gesture again.

When they were asked about their unique greeting, J Hope explained, "When we watched our early debut days videos, our greeting used to look very stiff and formal.". When the MCs asked if they could show how they used to greet during their debut days in 2013, BTS members perfected their greeting by pulling their "gun" trigger, provoking a good laugh.
