[PANN] 170627 The most scientific idol dance

1. The effect of big movements!  - BTS (Hong Yoonseok, Grade 4, Seoul Onsu Elementary School)

When we look at BTS' choreography, it made the people look like they danced the same moves better when they made sure to move their arms, legs, and pelvis bigger. Thus, this would mean that you would look like a better dancer if you moved each part of your body in different directions, right? Dr. Nick Neave of Northumbria University analyzed the dance moves using computer graphic and according to his research, dancers received the evaluation of "dances well" when they moved their arms and legs asymmetrically to the beat. The ability to move your legs and arms asymmetrically when you dance is determined by the control ability of cerebrum. The more control you have in this ability, you'll be able to dance more splendid and complicated moves.

Your cerebrum controlling ability is said to develope through constant practice and learning so this let's us realize that a lot of effort is put in these splendid idol choreographies! (Reporter Cho)

They said it's scientific... is this the reason why their moves look so cool...
